my mom is driving me crazy..
My mom had to work on Thanksgiving so my dad kept asking her to go by a turkey and some other stuff and we would make a meal and she could eat as well when she got off work but her response was "If i cant have a Thanksgiving then neither should you all" so on Thanksgiving me and my brother (my bro is 20yrs old) and my dad ate either PB&J sandwhiches or hot pockets because my mom refused to go grocery shoppin until the week after Thanksgiving. Well my mom got off work at 1pm and she came home about 4pm with frozen Tony’s pizza and the minute she walked in the door she was in a horrible mood and yelled at me over stupid crap like i made a sandwhich and i hadnt cleaned up the crums and she screamed "Get your ass in here and pick up this damned mess" and i still had my sandwhich, i havent really had time to clean it up yet. Well as she was walking past me she was like "For once id like to come home to a decent damn house". For like a whole 3 hours she was in a bad mood yelling and screaming at me for no reason. I’m getting sick of living here, im always depressed. My mom is bipolar but she wont take her medicine, the doctor straight up told her she was bipolar and she basicly called him stupid and said she wasnt bipolar.
She calls me stupid/idiot/dumb all the time, all my interest are idiotic to her. She has even hit me a couple of times.
She refuses to bring home food most the time, like 90% of the month we eat canned soup or sandwhiches.
She has all control of the money, and she makes sure every last dime is spent her way. My dad broke his neck and back twice while working (amazingly he can still walk) and gets checks every month and she goes and cashes them and spends them but wont even tell him why.
She’ll give my brother hundreds of dollars every month for no reason, but wont even give me 10 dollars for gas or to eat with.
I am trying to get a job but no one is hiring around here, ive applied at every place twice and all my money for gas and toilietries come from babysitting twice a week..

I dont know what to do anymore, my mom is driving me crazy..
Im also only 16yrs old..

How can i deal with my mom?

unfortunately until your mother admits she has problems its never going to get better, if I were you I would talk to your dad about it and if that wont or doesnt help then maybe you should just call CPS and tell them that you fear for your safety, other than that there really isnt anything I can tell you to do, just wait until you are old enough to get the hell out of there, and keep trying to find a job, I’m sorry but those are your options, not much I know but you’ll make it, trust me you will.

I will pray for you..the best thing you can do is don’t disrespect her and kill her with kindness..if you are sixteen you should be either in the 10th or 11th grade and you don’t have much longer before you graduate and can go off to college..focus on school and let that be your motivation..don’t hold a grudge just act like it didn’t happen and she will soon see what she did was wrong

im so sorry about that. it makes me want to cry. but i’ll pray for you.

it might be hard to do but is it possible to talk to her about it? i have minor family problems like this and i just finally talked to her and she went to the hospital for a week and they gave her depression pills and finally got her to realize what she was doing to the family. because same with me, im the middle child and it feels everything goes for my older sis and everything goes for my bro but, i get nothing when it comes to me.

if its too uncomfortable to talk to her, go to a friends mom or a therapist or your dad and talk to them. I stayed over at my friends house for that entire week my mom was in the hospital. (because my parents are divorced and my dad refused to take us). but maybe if you try to talk to someone, they can help you figure things out between you and your mom. because i know the feeling, and it has somewhat worked for me. we’re still trying to work through things but thoughout this whole experience, ive learned how to actually talk to my mom and work through things.

if that doesnt work and it gets really out of hand, if you have a relative or a friend that would take you in and care for you (like a best friend or a grandma and grandpa).

im so sorry to hear about this. i know its a tough age to deal with things like that. im 13 and its hard. imagining being your age, its gotta be hard trying to focus on school and everything while dealing with this. just wanting to tell you, choose your good friends to talk to. dont worry, they will listen. you have people to go to when the going gets tough.

They are both. Depends on the ones you buy. Some are only decorations and cannot accually crack nuts. Others are made to be decorations but can also be used to crack nuts. Depends on the ones you buy really.

The problem became immediately apparent last month when Obama held an online "town hall" forum on the economy and invited the public to post questions on the White House Web site.

Those questions, in turn, were voted on by users to determine which ones the president would answer.

Three and a half million people participated in the event, but the "trolls" had their way: Following a coordinated campaign by marijuana advocates to vote their topic to the top of the list, questions on the future of the U.S. dollar and the rising unemployment rate were superseded by questions about legalizing pot as an economic remedy.

Have you throw away your jack-o-lantern or do you still put a candle in it at night?
I just was wondering. My kids like ours & it doesn’t look old yet. I carved it on the 29th of Oct. I plan to use it a few more days. I just wanted to know if others still keep their pumpkins just like you would still keep a Christmas tree up some days after Christmas.

I’ve found that the jack o’ lanterns mold so fast after Halloween that we really need to throw them away in the first trash pick-up after Halloween, or they literally liquefy and you have to pick them up in moldy, runny pieces for the next week’s pick-up.

Also, my house is located on a street that has a bus stop on one end and a junior high school on the other. Literally dozens of kids walk along the street every day to and from school. And, unfortunately, many of these kids have no respect for people’s property. In the past, when I’ve left the jack o’ lanterns out after Halloween, kids have taken them off the porch and thrown them into the street, have actually thrown them at my front door, and have otherwise done mischief with the pumpkins.

So the day after Halloween, I put them in the trash. That’s just the way it has to be.
